The role of the general counsel grows ever more complex. As well as juggling their myriad responsibilities in the traditional legal sphere, they increasingly play an active part in guiding commercial strategy and advising leadership teams.

MARCUS FISHBURN is S-RM’s Global Practice Head of Disputes and
Investigations. His practice involves close collaboration with legal teams,
forensic accountants and e-disclosure practitioners. He joined the
firm in 2018, having spent several years working for a London-based
corporate investigations firm, where he specialised in asset tracing and
cross-border fraud investigations.

SAM TAYLOR is S-RM’s US Practice Head of Disputes and Investigations.
He has over ten years’ experience in the business intelligence and
investigations field, including co-leading monitorships in the public and
private sectors, and has significant expertise in defending clients subject
to hostile takeovers or proxy fights. He has led and managed a wide
variety of complex internal and external investigations, both domestic
and international.

LENOY BARKAI is a Director within S-RM's Cyber Security practice. She
has over eight years’ experience spanning security risk analysis, strategic
consulting and alternative investment management. Since joining S-RM
in 2018, she has supported clients on complex security challenges from
the extractives, FMCG and retail industries, among others.

SEPTIMUS KNOX is an Associate Director within S-RM's Disputes and
Investigations practice. His experience includes conducting crossborder
asset traces, litigation support and investigations spanning a
range of sectors such as finance, commodities and extractives. He has
particular expertise in disputes originating in Russia and the CIS as well
as those involving complex offshore structures.
