Saif is an Associate on the Strategic Intelligence team. He started his career as a junior analyst at S-RM, when he primarily focused on due diligence, compliance, and other corporate intelligence-related projects. He subsequently shifted his focus towards political and country risk analysis, with a particular emphasis on Asia Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, and Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) regions. Saif has delivered or contributed to numerous bespoke consulting projects focusing on political, security, macroeconomic, regulatory, and other threats to clients operating in these jurisdictions. In addition, Saif manages S-RM’s proprietary security information platform, the Global Security Insight. Saif’s expertise includes geopolitical analysis, terrorism-related dynamics, and political stability considerations. He holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Cape Town. Prior to joining S-RM, Saif interned at the office of the late Senator Johnny Isakson in the US Congress.
