Richard is a Senior Analyst on the Strategic Intelligence team and joined S-RM in 2022. He has worked on various security and threat assessment projects and fortnightly monitor projects covering political, economic, security and commercial developments. He focuses on Sub-Saharan Africa and MENA jurisdictions but regularly works on dynamic projects covering a range of issues, such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Before joining S-RM, Richard worked as an intern for an Indian defence and risk analysis company and has also set up a blog covering African political and security issues. Richard holds an MA in Political Studies and International Relations from Rhodes University, specialising in conflict and terrorism studies.
